Checked out Que Pasta’s first Austin pop up at Kitty Cohen’s on the East side.
I liked the open air courtyard food counter. It’s more communal than ordering from a food truck window and it was nice to visit with the crew while they cooked.
I had the Spaghetti Aglio e Olio ($10), a sturdy classic with strong garlic flavor and topped with some herbal edible flower bits.
One of the dishes was sold out by 8:30, and they opened at 6:00, so it looks like business was good off the bat. It was a one night appearance but they’ve got more in the works, they’re off to a great start.
