
A golfeado is a Venezuelan sticky bun with a slice of queso fresco on top. The bun itself has the perfect amount of density and chew to it. The glaze has a subtle hint of star anise and is rich in flavor – sweet but not too sweet. The whole thing pairs amazingly with the light, slightly salty queso fresco. When you order one, she’ll ask with or without cheese and your answer should always be, “With cheese!”
