Excited to start canning a lot more. This was our first time canning anything, fresh caught dog salmon on the left, and fresh caught coho salmon for the rest! It’s yummy so far!

    Beautiful!

Ball recipe or a different one?

I have been freezing and smoking mine over the years and have been wanting to try canning it. I finally talked the wife into letting me try my hand this year since I haven’t blown up the house with the pressure canner so far.

I’ve got a few pinks, a couple silvers, and a king in the freezer but can go catch more if fresh is best.

Good for you although I thought I should post for others that canning any protein in a pressure canner is not exactly recommended for a first time run. So many things that can go wrong. But this looks good.

  4. Looks absolutly amazing! Send us an update with how it turned out when you open one! (taste/texture)
