Tonight I made Makizushi for my family members, with brewed tea to accompany it. It was a huge success, and they asked me to make more for later. They ate significantly smaller portion sizes than they normally would, and still felt full! Hopefully by utilizing the recipes that my Japanese teacher taught me, I can get them to eat healthier and maybe save some money on food in the process, if we go through food slower. Tomorrow, I’m going to make boiled cabbage stew with leeks, bonito, red and green cabbage, tuna chucks, and some store bought pot stickers. Wish me luck!
