  1. If I cut this recipe in half and put it into a 9" x 9" baking dish, should I decrease the baking time? Maybe just bake it for an hour? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!.~ Anastacia in Cleveland

  4. Dear Catherine, hello Dear. I made this for my Senior Pot Luck. It's for all of us in our 90s and over. We meet 2 times a year. Well I made this dish they all went nuts for it. Everyone ate some and even came back for 2nds. I was very lucky I was able to get a small pc for me. And several of my friends wanted your recipes. I sent them to your site. Now I can't eat all of this recipe because I am a Senior, I live alone, and almost a 100 yrs old, but I can make this recipe and share , like sick neighbors. It's very hearty, filling. Thank you again for sharing. It was delicious πŸ˜‹. πŸ‘΅πŸ™ PS….I replaced your cheddar with mozzarella cheese, it was delicious πŸ˜‹ πŸ‘΅πŸ™

  5. I made this last night and it was fantastic! My husband liked it and said it was a keeper! This was possibly the easiest and quickest recipe I've ever made! I think next time I'm going to chop up some broccoli, rather well, and try adding it, and possibly some corn. I might adjust the water, depending on the veggies, but I believe the possibilities are endless. Thank you so much for presenting really fantastic recipes. God bless!

  11. Looks delicious but I’m scared of the sodium content. Canned soups are high as well as the onion, and then the cheese. Certainly not heart healthy

  17. This is pure comfort food for a cold autumn or winter night. I'd put a little hot sauce in my sauce mixture for some added flavor! I bet this would go great with green beans, broccoli, or carrots.

  18. I make this but i put green beans in it so it is an entire meal. Never used cheese. I got this recipe many years ago from my doctor.

  19. I don't care for cream of mushroom so I substitute cream of chicken. There is a slight difference in taste but it is still very yummy!
