  1. Parmigiano😂??? Seriously😂???
I'm chef napoletan and never utilize the parmigian cheese😅
And spaghetti al dente! Not extra cooking😂

  2. This is one of the worst made aglio olio pasta recipe I have ever seen…..the method is atrocious ….and no… it's not the most popular dish in Italy…..they all are depending on the region where one is….! I am Italian myself and a good cook especially in pasta sauces…it takes a local to do a perfect local dish…..always remember that.

  3. I tried this on my trip to Rome for the first time. I only got it because it was the cheapest option and I was on a budget. It looked very basic, so I was kind of disappointed. But I had that first taste I was immediately sold on this dish. I had to make it back home. I also added some dry chili flakes for spice and it tastes great too.

  4. Thanks for the recipe Had this at an office meeting on Friday and while it tasted incredible it didn't seem that complicated. I'm sure your recipe will be even better.

Cari saluti dell'Italia

  6. Thank you for sharing this recipe it was better than I hoped🎉❤❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉

  7. Just came here to pay my respects to the OG, he helped me make my first focaccia and perfect it along the years. Been here since 2013 so to many more coming Chef John !

  8. That is perfect! The only thing extra that we do in Europe is add a splash of lime or lemon juice on the dish. It takes it to a whole another level.

  9. Oh, I always seen people finishing the pasta on the Aioli pan, lightly frying the pasta. This is my favourite recipe ever, since my childhood. Simple, cheap and Super flavorful.

  10. Don't use parsley leaves the flavor is in the stems. The leaves are a garnish, decoration. Use chicken or vegetable broth not pasta water.

  11. Yep, made this too, Chef John. I know it's a long long time when you posted this video. This is DELICIOUS. Thank you for teaching us how to make this recipe.

  13. 12 years ago I used this video as a reference for an assignment in high school where I had to make a recipe pamphlet. The bit at 2:00 about never rinsing spaghetti still sticks with me to this day.

  14. one of the worst recipes ever seen. do not imitate him.. change chef 😂😂

  15. I lived in Italy for three years and everytime I ate this it was Aglio Olio pepperoncino. Always served with red pepper flakes, Love it.

  16. Italians really think some oil and cheese on some boiled noodles is some gourmet sh!t.

  17. I like how he comes off life support to shoot the video. That's a man with conviction. And 12 years later he's still cranking out videos, so, good stuff!

  18. 1) porca miseria… use the pasta water… 2) use it to cook the spaghetti in the oil and to thicken the "crema" 3) cheese is not common 4) it's spaghetti aglio olio E PEPERONCINO

  19. The garlic may be good for you, but the wheat derived pasta is definitely not.

Wheat contains gluten that damages intestinal tracts of humans. Spaghetti, or any other pasta, is made of processed, refined grain that is high in glucose that provokes an excessive insulin response. Habitually eating high glucose foods leads to insulin resistance, hyper-insulinemia, type 2 diabetes, atherosclerosis, heart disease, heart attacks, and possibly death.

So no, while it sounds delicious and probably tastes great, this meal is not good for you.

  20. ❤save your voice chef… and thanks for making this recipe into a video. Now I need to start chopping these garlic cloves… see you in the next video, and take care of yourself!
