I like Sam’s. Toasted. Freeze well. Almost always with butter because that is what the kids like. Fish from a lot of places.
fun fact: white fish bones and skin plus shrimp shells makes absolutely perfect fish stock for some reason.

I go to Brooklyn Bagels because it’s walking distance. I have to face 5 min of traffic to get to Courage, but it’s great.

This list lost all credibility with The Nosh. The Nosh was great when I was a kid but then a new owner took over and its been trash ever since.

I’m going to stick up for Western Bagel. I won’t argue for it being the best bar none bagel, but it’s the best bagel you can get in a grocery store. It’s the best chain bagel. We’ve got the factory in Van Nuys, and you can get fresh bagels past midnight. I love Western Bagel.
