Sounds almost like pickled radish, like kimchi or sauerkraut. I would treat it as such. Would be good on Texas brisket tacos 🌮 😀

Most people probably just eat it on rice. It’s not Japanese. Taiwanese, maybe?

I would eat it with donburi or on noodles.

It’s Taiwanese isn’t it? Are you lost?
Hundreds of uses! As an ingredient in other dishes or just simply with something fried over rice maybe.

Searching the kanji this is from Taiwan, no idea how it’s eaten as I’m not familiar with Taiwanese cuisine.
Google 武林菜 has some ideas though.

I’ve never had these but now I’m on the lookout for them! I love any Asian pickles. I use Chinese pickled turnip greens in my congee, add some to fried rice and so forth. I’ve also tried my hand at making various Japanese pickles.
