FYI, after opening brown sugar, put a piece of bread in the package. It will never go bad, it dries out like a crouton. The brown sugar stays soft.

When I was just a young girl I would make" boxed" Betty Croker blueberry muffins. My friends mom would give boxes of it to us. I would put sugar on top when they come out of the oven and then put them back in to caramelize the top. Then I made blueberry juice out of the canned blueberry that was in the box. I was only 7 or 8 but I would put a little vanilla in it to make it better. I made big and little ones. I think my mom was a tad jealous of my cooking skills at 7. Haha i love this memory. ( i do not use box anything as an adult)
