Can never go wrong with R n’ R. I actually love their burgers also.

I used to go to the one on 3rd Ave all the time when it was there.

Oh man I haven’t been there in 20 years. Looks so good. Do they still have Dom Perignon on the menu?

I’m glad the comments here are positive. So many of the posts here are about the absolute pinnacle of high quality NYC cuisine it’s nice to see we can still appreciate the local classics. Love me some good old fashioned roll n roaster.

I grew up in BK and remember RnR but where can I get good _hot_ roast beef (not deli) in Manhattan?
ChefSuffolk
Fuck. Yeah.

I grew up a few blocks away from RNR & my parents still live there so every time I visit it’s a must! Enjoy!!

I was in that area a few years ago and decided to go with Brennan and carr instead. That was really good. Haven’t had rnr I’m almost 2 decades
Tejon_Melero
Pretty neat that the 2 iconic beef spots in NYC are blocks apart in less-traveled BK. Interestingly, someone is pushing a clone of the other competitor, Brennan and Carr, out in LI now with a few spots opening. I think that one is Brooklyn Dip and Burger.

Their milkshakes though….so good.

This place (the food, the location, the decor) is such a vibe.

My classic local spot , always there when you need it. When people travel out of there way for it I can see where the criticism comes into play, but if your in the area gotta stop. Brennan n carr is for the locals and RnR is for the people passing through, but I find myself going to RnR more lately due to open late night and the lemonade.

I miss this place so much😭😭

I was just there for the first time last week after going to the East Village location several times while it was open. That must have been twenty years ago and I missed it.
I have to say, it wasn’t quite as good as I remembered, and I think I made a mistake not getting the onion rings! It wasn’t bad though, and I loved the old-school decor.

Wow, that’s where I was introduced to cheese fries after hanging out by kingsborough CC. Been a long time 🍻

Honestly to this day, I still refuse to believe that Roll N’ Roaster is a real place just because of those old ass commercials alone 😂
I thought I was watching a scene from Happy Days or something lol

I still fuck with Roll n Roaster. Like, one every couple years, but I’m certainly not above it.

It’s so far away from me, but I will have to go there one day
