Hello, I’m having some issues with the Musso 5030 ice cream machine freezing product to the side, and the churn blade getting stuck in the frozen product.
Any ideas what I’m doing wrong? Thanks for the help.
Steps I took to make the ice cream:
1. Set timer to 40 minutes and turn on compressor
2. After 15 minutes, turn on churner, and add ice cream mix (from fridge)
3. After 20 minutes of churning and removing any decent ice cream from the middle, the above pictures were the result

When the ice cream is done churning, do you also turn off the compressor? That’s what I do and I don’t usually have that problem.
I think you are simply churning it too long. I’m pretty lax about making stuff, I’ll admit; but I just take the mix from the refrigerator and directly start churning it. For about 1 liter of mix, I’d say maybe 15-20 minutes and it should be done. Usually, around the 12-13 minutes, you’ll see a noticeable change in the texture. I usually pull it when I drag a rubber spatula into the mis and it will hold on the spatula like soft serve ice cream.
