Martha Stewart’s recipe for pineapple upside-down cake is extra special because it’s actually baked in individual ramekins that are each the perfect size for a single serving. A freshly-cut pineapple round is sandwiched in between a super light, fluffy cake and a delicious sugary base. When they come out of the oven, simply flip the ramekins upside down to reveal the most beautiful golden cakes, and then drizzle with a dazzling caramel-rum sauce.

  1. Just made this. Delicious. Don't use the recipe from the web, I don't know why they do it, but it's different from this video. Follow Martha's direction and ingredients in the video. It's very clear and simple. Thanks for sharing it, Martha!!

  2. Your print recipe online does not list all the ingredients, no temp and all it says is super.Younlist egg whites but she days in her video 2 whole eggs. Very poor instructions so now I have to watch the video and start over. Not happy!

  3. Looks lovely, but without all the specialty cooking supplies, it would be far more difficult to make, it a finickery process..but I’ll still give it a try.

  4. Hello from Florida. Just got my Ramekins and I think I'm going to use this recipe first. Thank you.

  5. These are sooo good. I made a half batch because I only needed 3 and they turned out just perfect. The fresh pineapple is so much better than canned. Martha did it again!

  6. Thank you Martha. Seems people cant cook anymore sadly. I am a horrible cook but can rely on your easy teaching skills to recreate home cooked food, meals and traditions.

  7. They really look delicious!
I have tried other recipes of this cake but they didn't work, l have faith in this one🙏 baking then now!
Update: THIS IS THE BEST 😍 I really recommend it!

  8. The recipe link and what you demonstrate are not the same. can you provide the recipe for this video.

  9. One thing is for sure- you never disappoint Martha- even after all these years.
You really set the pace for the rest of the girls who followed behind you.

  10. Dang does it really taste different if it is with fresh pineapple than canned? I already bought canned :/

  11. I think it's time you give up Martha. Have you seen the ratings your recipes have on Google? I don't think I have seen one that is higher than 3.5.

Personally, I go for recipes that have at least a 4.8 by many people, and that have the guts to allow commenting on the recipe page.

A good old fashioned word of advice. Don't flog a dead horse

  12. OMG!!! I've tried other pineapple upsidedown cakes & none level up to this one. I didn't have ramekins, so I used small cake tins. I was fasting thus I wait a few hours till i opened my fast with it. Absolutely delicious 💯 Alhumdulillah 💕

  13. Well-done madam. Your delivery is so professional. I observed though, that you didn't use cherries. I guess the cherries are optional, isn't it? Thank so much for sharing ❤

Dear admin: Please include ingredients, quantity & instructions in the description box. As always we love this channel ❤️ & have great appreciation for Martha Stewart & her art of baking & cooking 😊

  15. Sorry Martha, looks great, but it’s not pineapple upside down cake for me, without a maraschino cherry 🍒

  16. I think, if you want the juice of the real pineapple juice, you can blend some chunk of pineapple then you'll have the juice

  17. Can't wait to try this….but I will always still put a maraschino cherry in the middle of the pineapple as I love the candied cherry as well❤

  18. Please help 🙏 what would 1 stick of butter be equivalent to in Australia? It makes it EXTREMELY hard when cooking channels don't give the equivalent for other countries 😕 Also, she doesn't say salted or unsalted which is beyond frustrating 😔 thanking you in advance for any assistance ❤️
Also, after reading the comments, the linked recipe is different from the video. I personally think it's rather rude to run a channel & not even answer very valid questions. It's a shame really, as she is so well known 😡 BEST CHANNEL FOR COOKING, especially this recipe without all the fuss is TheCooknShare! He is AMAZING & always answers any questions ❤️
