*Haschee/Hash is a dish with chopped meat. The name is from the french “hacher” meaning “to chop”. In germany it is especially popular in the south, in Swabia.*

    **Recipe:**

Chop **2 onions** and fry them in **3 tbsp. of olive oil**. You can add **2 chopped garlic cloves** as well. Mix in **35 g of tomato paste** and fry a few more minutes. Add **15 g of butter, 1 tsp. of hot paprika, 1/2 tsp. of black pepper** and **1/4 tsp. of salt**. Cook for a few minutes and remove from the pan and set aside.

Add **3 tbsp. of olive oil** to the pan. Cook **500 g of mixed (beef/pork) ground meat**. When fully cooked add the onion mix and cook for 5 minutes. Pour **500 ml of stock** into the pan and bring to a boil.

Add **1 more tsp. of hot paprika**, **1 tsp. of sweet paprika**, **1 tsp. of oregano** and **1 more tsp. of black pepper** as well as **1 tsp. of mustard** and **1/4 tsp. of sugar**. Cook for 15 minutes on medium heat. Stir in between.

Mix **1 tsp. of flour** with 50 ml of cold water in a cup, add 2 tbsp. of the sauce to it and mix it together. To thicken the sauce add it to the pan and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

    Serve with **pasta** or **potatoes**.

    Enjoy!

*- Don’t reduce the amount of black pepper or hot paprika. It makes or brakes the dish -*

  3. Recipe looks nice, could take it up a notch by pulling the pasta a bit early and tossing it in the sauce for the last few minutes so it absorbs the liquid from the sauce itself.

    Enjoy your meal.
