As a new hot pepper grower I have been surprised at just how much I have enjoyed watching the transition through the various colors as they ripen. The one in the photo starts a deep black, goes to purple, then green and eventually red. The species is suppose to be one of those Chinese Space Chillies, but I am not too sure. It is very mild.
