I’m from SA and there are a lot of options for burgers or chicken sandwiches with refried beans on them.

Have you experienced anything similar in Austin? If so, where?

Jew Boys burgers can definitely make you a bean burger.

Haven’t been in awhile, but I liked them in the past.

Central Market has a pretty decent black bean burger…have had it a couple of times, not bad at all……and you can have a side of fruit instead of greasy fried starch…

Funny, I was just answering a similar question on r/Austin today. You want an hamburguesa. Any good Mexican restaurant with one can put refried beans on it. Your question is where can I get a good hamburguesa. Mine is Antojitos El Flaco, just ask to add beans. It’s a food cart next to an HEB for me. Everyone here thinks you are asking for a veggie burger. We have the same as San Antonio, just probably collectively not as common.

Every truck south of Ben White off Congress has great burgers and Mexican food and you can definitely get what you’re looking for.
