  6. One mistake I noticed: the list of ingredients does not include oil, so I did not include it. And when I started to pour the syrup onto the cake, it was so slow to absorb, I decided it was far too much liquid. So I reduced the amount of syrup by about 2/3, and the cake turned out delicious just like that.

  7. How far in advance can I make this before cooking it? Will it still taste the same? I want to make it two day in advance then cook it in two days time
