when she squeezed out the garlic it looked like she was popping out a big cyst! hahaha ew…. i am so disgusting…
yum
I don't like cream cheese is there something I can substitute?
Not a problem. Try using sour cream or mayonnaise instead. Or simply increase the amount of cheese. Enjoy!
ok thanks ๐
I bet water chestnuts would be a great addition for texture. Yum!
Super idea! Have you tried this?
I did! It was delicious!
Haha, I love the background music!
Is it a must to use the Alfredo sauce?
Thank you for your question. Alfredo sauce adds a lot of flavor and creamy consistency to this dip. If you are not a fan, we'd recommend using a white sauce or Bechamel. Enjoy!
Wow! That looks so freaken good! Will deff have to try, thanks!!
This looks simple to make. Thanks I will try it.
Going to have to try and make this. I want to see if it comes out similar to Cheddars spinach dip.
why you didnt add salt?
Delicious!!! I cooked rhis yesterday bc I has friend over and they loved it!
Thanks for sharing my fav can I add the whole 8 oz cream cheese
Oh…my…gosh. I cannot wait to try this. I'm going to add my own twist to it:ย
I made shrimp tacos for the family yesterday, and I added imitation lobster to the tacos to help stretch out the shrimp, ensuring that everybody got at least two tacos with plenty of filling. I ended up with a lot of leftover "lobster" meat, and I'm considering throwing it into this dip for added flavor and texture. ๐ย
gonna try this tomorrow
If any one has tried this can you tell me how it is? I want to make it for my family and i wont try it if its just ok
if I ever see someone eating artichoke and spinach dip with broccoli imma slap them with a damn tortilla chip ๐
OK, I did this for Thanksgiving , it was really good. I used Prego Afredo sauce, a the Italian shread was a mix, and I even had a little bit of Cheddar cheese I needed to use up and I figured later I didn't have quite the amount of artichoke as the 2nd bottle we couldn't get open LOL, but it was still wonderful, and everyone loved it, Took some to the neighbor to serve for tomorrows Cocktail hour ( maybe we should call it wine hour)
I use this recipe for my stuffed pasta shells!!! Everyone loves them!!!
tip: buy garlic paste.
Omg!!!!looks soooo delicious ๐๐๐
Frozen spinach is a nono
The recipe has been deleted from AllRecipes so I typed it up:
Restaurant Copycat Spinach and Artichoke Dip
Ingredients
4 unpeeled garlic bulbs
10 oz. package frozen spinach, thawed and drained
14 oz. can artichoke hearts, drained, roughly chopped
10 oz. jar of store-bought Alfredo sauce
1 cup Mozzarella cheese
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
4 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
Preheat oven 350ยฐ. Add garlic bulbs to a small baking dish and cook for 20-30 minutes
Add thawed/drained spinach to a large mixing bowl or stand mixer along with the artichoke hearts, Alfredo sauce, Mozzarella, Parmesan and cream cheese. Remove garlic from the oven and squeeze into the bowl from their bulb when they are cool enough to handle. Transfer to 8×8โ baking dish and bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
I donโt use the garlic to be honest I think itโs taste better and just add more cream cheese
always buying this in the frozen section at the super market or getting it take out.I just tried this recipe and it is delicious.better than the stuff i had been getting and alot cheaper.thank u for a great recipe.
Thank you so much!! Your step by step was so easy to follow. My daughter loves it!!
you don't have to do the garlic toasting thing, you can just buy garlic alfredo sauce
I made this dip. A few suggestions. Heat everything up in a pan, instead of putting all the ingredients in the pan cold. It took waaay to long for the cream cheese to melt evenly. And my oven isnโt old. ๐ Using the Alfredo sauce gives it a nice flavor. Also heating the garlic ๐ง in foil for 15 minutes really brings out the flavor and aroma. Overall, good recipe. ๐๐พ
I have made this and it never disappoints. I am the hit at every party!
3 Tips. #1 Cheap Substitutes. Use Cream of Mushroom, Celery, or Cheddar Cheese Soup.
#2 Blend the Roasted Garlic in with the Creamy ingredient, first, to avoid mushing up the Artichokes!
#3 Put a few heads, of Garlic, covered in olive oil & foil in the oven while roasting something else. Use as needed in recipes or sauces. Warm 20 secs. in microwave! They last weeks in the fridge, longer if frozen.
