3 ounces (85 g) unsalted butter (6 Tablespoons)
3 ounces (85 g) granulated sugar (1/2 cup)
2 large eggs (whole) room temperature
2 large egg yolks room temperature
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ounce (28 g) all-purpose flour (1/4 cup)
2 Tablespoons unsalted butter for greasing
sprinkle flaky salt (optional) for topping
1 teaspoon powdered sugar (optional) for topping

  5. It’s so hard to tell when chocolate lava cake is done. Mine like bubbles around the edges to I can’t see the cooked edges or the gooey center. Is there more of a trick to it that I don’t know?

  7. Hands down the best lava cake ever! And so easy to make! I prepared the batter a day before. Covered it and put it in the fridge overnight. Baked it the next day and it was the heavenliest lava cake I have ever tried ❤️🤤 it was perfect! Beautiful cake on the edges and ooey gooey luscious lava chocolate in the middle.     I want to bake these in 3.5" rings. How long should they bake? Also how long can you keep them in the freezer?

  9. Recipe worked but when scaled to 2 it didn't change number of ramekins to use and I didn't catch it until batter was in ramekins. Tasted good even though I over baked them.
