
I just canned some fig jam following the Ball canning recipe book and two of them were sticky when they came out of the canner. Seeds are globbed up close to the lid and I’m worried about the seal cause I have never used this recipe or had this issue. Should I assume they’re unsafe and throw them in fridge?

I’d probably stick them in the fridge to use first to be on the safe side. Most likely they’re fine if the lids have sealed though.
