2 cups Whole Milk
1 cup Stone-Ground Grits
3 tbsp Unsalted Butter
2 cups sharp White Cheddar, shredded
Shrimp:
½ lb Thick-Cut Bacon
2 lbs large Shrimp , peeled and de-veined
½ tsp Red Pepper Flakes
Creole Kick
1 large Garlic Clove, minced
Juice of ½ Lemon
Kosher Salt and Freshly Cracked Black Pepper
Green Onion for garnish

    If I don't have jelly I'll use a little maple syrup.

  8. My dad made grits when we were kids in the 60's to 70's. We ate salt, pepper and butter, or sugar and butter. I still enjoy both ways. I guess I allow my grits to be fluid…

  9. No sweetness in grits, I leave that for my Cream of Wheat (which I love even more so). To each his/her own of course, but no matter, your kitchen skills are very high level!
