Yes, it is high in sodium- I wanted a very simple, craving-satisfying prep for a few days.
Could definitely make it lower calorie using a lower-cal teriyaki sauce (I just love Veri Veri so much. But it is calorically dense. It is very flavorful though!) I used ground turkey because no chopping required. Would be good with some green veg, like broccoli. You could also boost the protein for minimal calories by adding a fried egg on top. I’d also normally add hot sauce but we ran out at my house 🙁
