Good news and bad news from lunchtime at MezzeMe in The Triangle.

Unfortunately it’s another place on the Austin Restaurant Weeks website listed with a menu “Coming soon” and no one at the place knows about it.

The good news is their everyday lunch special is fantastic! $10.25 (tax included) for soup or salad and choice of half-pita (chicken/falafel/Döner). I did the lemon chicken orzo soup and chicken pita, both delicious and on the lighter side.

Also noticed the empty space where Provision Dining House used to be is For Lease. Man, feels like that place didn’t even last a year, wonder what happened there?

As far as Provision Dining House goes I ate there once. Don’t remember too much about it other than apologizing to my friend for suggesting it. I think it was pretty expensive for tiny drinks and not great happy hour specials

Glad I’m not the only still bothered by the “coming soon” lol.

This looks good and affordable, maybe I’ll make a trip.

I had their lentil soup for lunch today. Pretty good. Very fluffy pita.

I wish we would get an authentic Turkish restaurant. The cuisine is amazing but all we ever get are lame ass pitas and salads that could be from any country in the region.

  5. MezzeMe is very solid. Love their Greek salad and their pita is great. Turkish coffee after a meal is a must too

  6. Provision Dining House was too expensive for the site and for their food. It was fine, but once was enough.

I’m sad Maudie’s left. Their dinner food sucks but I really like their breakfast tacos.

Mezzeme is pretty bad. They served us frozen baklavas and burned lahmacun. The doner and other food is super mediocre as well. If you want authentic Turkish food, try Antepian in Dallas. Couldn’t find any in Austin unfortunately.
