This week, we’re featuring **Borough Park!**
We’re going to use the official [Google Maps Boundary](https://goo.gl/maps/QAWqHei52vvnB8x79) as the general outline instead of the overlay map we normally use.
(Reason being that the overlay map has the boundary at 8th ave vs Google Maps has it at 9th Ave. Not to border keep, but I always felt like 8th Ave is considered to be Sunset Park)
Some optional prompts:
* What are some of your favorite food spots or “hidden gems”?
* Any “must have” or go to dishes from those particular spots?
* Are there any points of interest or events that is worth going out of the way to visit?

You’re gonna have some limitations there because borough park is a very Jewish neighborhood and it’s Rosh Hashanah this weekend
There’s a Tacos el Bronco truck right in front of the 9th Ave station on the D line. I have no clue how it’s not listed on Google Maps or Yelp but it’s been there for at least 8 years. It usually have shorter lines than the truck on 5th Ave and IMO it’s just as good. They’re opened until pretty late and I think they’re closed on Thursdays.

If you go down a block, there’s also [Moonrise Bakehouse](https://www.yelp.com/biz/moonrise-bakehouse-brooklyn-2), a super unassuming, literal hole in the wall bakery with good bread. They got listed in the [“Top 100 Bakeries” in the US by Food and Wine in 2020](https://www.foodandwine.com/travel/restaurants/best-bakeries-in-america).
Their menu changes every day, if you’re looking for something specific, the guy working there said you should just call in and ask what they’re making for the day. He also told me that they make a really good Rosemary sourdough bread on some days and it’s really popular.
I’m not a big enough bread expert to tell you that it’s “Top 100 bakery” in the US, but the sourdough that I got was super good. I also got pretty lucky and got it fresh out of the oven as it was still nice and warm when I brought it.
