Thank you for such an amazing variant of the standard kibbe nayeh that I'm used to.

  3. I remember my mom's first taste of this dish, ages ago. She swears that she wouldn't have tried it if she had known it was raw meat but by the time she found out, it was too late: SHE LOVED IT!!! It's amazing but you'd never know it was raw meat unless someone told you about it, I swear! Well done, Dede!

  4. I just had Kibbeh Nayeh for the first time, but it was made with lamb. It's definitely addictive and I loved it, and it's ideal for meat lovers.

    Thanks for showing the recipe!

You could also find an arab halal met store and ask for Kibbeh Meat. I tried Kibbeh at a Lebanese restaurant in Jordan, and then again in Beirut. I'm totally in love with Lebanese cuisine! Here in Copenhagen we have lots of halal meat stores, and the arab ones always have Kibbeh meat (the good ones). Thanks for the video! Really enjoyed it 🙂

  6. My grandmother (r.i.p. sitoo) would've sooner eaten her own head than use ground beef, for her it was lamb all the way. It's so funny to me how it varies from region to region and family to family!

  7. Wow, it is amazing how different Lebanese Families make this dish so different. I am going to try your recipe. I was brought up to use only Lamb but have now started to use Beef But I use Sirloin.

  10. Ground chuck???  Where's the lamb?  Kibbeh Nayeh is raw lamb.  Otherwise this recipe sounds very good.  Also try pine nuts instead of walnuts sometime.  Delicious!
