I have a huge bag of Israeli Couscous, always looking for new recipes. Love the tip to toast it first!
Yea ! this sounds so killer, maybe add lime and a bit of avocado and you have you absolute attention ! xoxox sara!
israeli couscous you say? really?😂..
Beside the fact that couscous is well known to all the cultures that are on the Mediterranean sea (so you guys that Israel is a culture thieves can shut your mouth), because it was spread by the Arabs and we in Sicily have made part of our culinary culture (with areas having it with fish, others use it for desserts), what I would like to comment on is how big those grain of couscous are and how similar they are to small balls. Real couscous is more "rough", since it's basically the flour mixed with the water and have it make it lumps, but small ones. Additionally it's not cooked like that, but you just add hot water and let it soak it in. More like ramen noodles. We in Sicily use fish stock, or just a syrup of water and sugar for the sweet stuff.
Couscous' place of origin is Africa.
Really ?
This looks so refreshing!
Lots of love from Israel!
Looks great, just reading the comments on this seems like you should have called it pearl couscous instead.
shame its not couscouse… oooops hahaha
Its not couscous its ptitim, and ptitim is israeli.
couscous is arabic/marocco food
How to make an Israeli recipe
1. Ask your grand mother about her favourite dish back home in Russia (or Tunisia, France, Poland, Yemen etc.)
2. Steal a Palestinian home (you need a kitchen, don't you?)
2. Prepare youe grand-mother's dish
3. Re-brand it as 'Israeli'
LMAO at Israel couscous ! As killing children and stealing lands was not enough now even the cuisine is not save…….

What don't you all shut up!! Accept that it is called Israeli couscous. This grain is bigger than the moroccan fine couscous,
Make the recipe if you like it, if not move on to the next recipe, one that you don't have any nusty comments to say.

Wow I’ve never seen so many butt hurt 😭 anti Israeli comments in my life. All food ingredients, cuisines and recipes have traveled the world and thank GOD. Keep your political views and comments to yourselves and just enjoy the video and if you can’t just leave.
Perfection! Thanks for the video recipe. I would like to add feta and black olives on the side
Very tasty and pretty easy to make. My only feedback is that the video doesn't show the use of much olive oil but the written recipe uses a lot more.
As much as it amusing to see these butthurt Arabs comments, this ingredient is called "Ptitim" and not couscous. It was invented in the previous century, around the establishment of Israel, as a cheap replacement for rice which was expensive in that period.
In the end, all we need is the celebration of food and contrasts of tastes it doesn’t matter where it comes from! Let’s just call it couscous, shall we?!👍🏾
Yum! I'd eat that for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's the tomatoes that appeals to me the most. I love tomatoes more than any other human being.
It's not Israeli couscous, it's called flakes
The jewish couscous is a different dish to the muslim's dish. for example the jewish Moroccan prepared it differently than the Muslim Moroccans, when the jews moved to Israel they brought their food with them.
No Culture stealing here
all Jewish and Muslim recipes end up in cultural fights…if you stop others will stop and so on…great recipe
COUSCOUS IS MOROCCAN , SINCE WHEN HE BECOME ISRAELI LOOOOOOOL
You stole the land and now you attribute the Palestinian civilization to you. This is a Palestinian dish
i'd eat that with feta and coriander 😉
Rofl… flour to make couscous and most other pasta's is made from grain..rofl..what a dope..
In your dreams plus this aich mach couscous ya stealers
✋🇵🇸
There is no "Israeli" cuisine. Like the land it, too, is stolen from Palestinians.
It's an Algerian Berkoukes, and it's not Israeli, and we have Couscous that's also from Algeria, this is not couscous at all, stop lying to people!!
Made this tonight, here in Los Angeles. Can't believe I forgot to add the cucumber (!) Still, tasted amazing esp. with weather hovering around 100 degrees these days. Served with pita bread and hummus, baba ganoush, falafel and tzaziki – a healthy, tasty meal with minimal cooking.
Hi
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: (Acts 17:30)
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Hebrews 9:27)
As algérien you are just kidding now !!!!! -_-
Hola trabajo en una dely judía en new York y me gustaría tener recetas nuevas de Israel
I only watched this video to figure out how to pronounce it.
Awesome
This is almost like I make it only no oil so it's healthy! My dressing is a teaspoon of white miso paste with just enough hot water melt it, lemon juice, garlic, rice wine vinegar, a teaspoon of maple syrup and voila! Great video!
