Had a hard time deciding whether I'm gonna make these or the pumpkin cinnamon rolls recipe you have posted….so figure I'm gonna just try adding a buncha cinnamon to the pancake batter and mix together some softened cream cheese/ powdered sugar/maple syrup and a dash of milk for a sort of cream cheese/maple glaze in place of plain maple syrup. Yes. I'm a rebel.
I still have my mother's sifter and her rolling pin with the orange handles. Somehow it doesn't feel like I'm baking unless one of these are in use. Don't hate me!
Just made these. They are yummy but I had to add a few more teaspoons of water since the batter was still a little too thick for me. I also sifted the dry ingredients (I guess I belong to my parents' generation lol). This recipe is a keeper!
Came to this video a few weeks after I've discovered chef John….Listening to his intonation here makes me feel betrayed… WHERE IS HIS CONSTANTLY QUESTIONING INTONATION!?
Its sad.that this guy post videos on his YouTube and doesn't explain the portions of the the recipe on his video but rather wants us to go into his blog website to see them. when Google block his blog because it's states a warning message that content of that website that attaclers may steal your information and website is not private
I just made these for my fabulous birthday brunch and they were sooooo goood! Very reminiscent of a pumpkin pound cake or pumpkin bundt. Pairs very well with crispy bacon.
I just made these and they were wonderful. I left out the lemon though. I just have not cleaned my pan enough from making tikka masala the other night.. so the pancakes had a slight garam masala vibe… I gotta tell you what… They were AMAZING that way.. what a happy mistake!
Recommend adding lemon juice to milk in separate container and let rest for 10 min. Now you have faux buttermilk to use in the recipe. Or skip the milk lemon juice bit and just use buttermilk. 😬

I have to make these next time I'm off
These were so yummy! So easy to make, my husband loved them!
It does not help when you don't say HOW MUCH of the ingredients. And what kind of oil? Lol!!
I put butter in the batter so the color can be even on the pancake 🙂

"Some" is certainly the best unit of measurement. Most people don't realize that. I'm glad you do.
Whatsay? You can get canned pumpkin year round? In what part of the world?
Would this recipe work with gluten free flahr? I herd there are 1 to 1 gluten free flahrs, but do such really work in conventional recipes?
I made these last weekend and they were deeeeeee-licious.

I recently realized that pumpkin comes only in 15 oz cans. That’s inconvenient.

Thank you Chef John for another recipe to help me deal with a 7 kg pumpkin that I bought in the middle of spring for no reason

I love butter. I make homemade cultured butter so I can feel better about it. Grass fed is very flavorful too. 🙂 🧈
