Drove through the shopping center with Parmer Lane Tavern and Pok-e-Jo’s and noticed the Indian restaurant that used to be in the corner has a Bay Biryanis sign on it now.
Years back this place had the best Indian takeout restaurant name ever: Curry in a Hurry!
Didn’t look like the restaurant was open even though there was a huge video screen on the back wall lighting up the place.
Evidently there is a location with the same name/logo in Mountain View, California.
Website says the Austin location is coming soon.

The picture on the website shows pulao, not Biryani. However, the website claims to offer authentic Biryanis! Doesn’t seem very encouraging 🙂
Oh no! Curry in Hurry/Chutney was a a favorite when I was up there. Much more Gujarati style home cooking type dishes than the typical Indian restaurants; hard to find tindora on many menus.
