If you’re like me, you could go into Carrabba’s and make a whole meal off the bread and oil they serve. It’s beyond delicious. The oil is full of aromatic herbs and a little kick of spice, rounded out with a touch of garlic. Its taken me a few try’s to get this recipe right and a few more trips to Carrabba’s …. haha! but I believe I’ve perfected the recipe.

Here it is:

2 cloves garlic minced
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp dried minced onion
1/2 tsp Thyme, Basil, Parsley
Dash of Oregano, Marjoram, Red Pepper flake
Fresh ground pepper

1. Mince garlic, heat olive oil in a small sauce pan on medium.

2. Heat garlic through til slightly golden, then add all herbs.

3. Allow herbs to heat for about 2 minutes, then pull from heat.

4. Serve in a pile on a plate surrounded by olive oil, with you’re favorite crusty bread.

Enjoy!

  1. Good lighting, good angles. I recomend getting a lapel mic so you don't have to yell to the camera. Awesome stuff all round! Keep it up and give Babish a run for his money!

  2. I watched the video and also pulled down the ingredient list. I tried to double the recipe. Unfortunately, something didn't work for me. It seems to have burnt the herbs. Did you use fresh or dried herbs? I cooked at medium for a bit under two minutes. Gotta toss this try. It isn't fit to eat. Will try again. Maybe next time will work for me.

  3. This recipe is almost perfect the only thing you are missing is a pinch of fleur de sel. Carrabba’s definitely adds flakey sea salt not a lot but enough so when they’re mixing up it actually helps macerate the herbs just a bit & it also enhances the flavors of the herbs and oil. Your recipe is the best I’ve seen on YouTube and Pinterest. So many people miss that you have to bloom the garlic first and then allow the herbs to get warm in the oil so that you get the maximum flavor from the dried herbs that you do not get by just putting them in room temp oil and mixing them up. Really great job on this copycat recipe!! This oil and herb blend will have you eating an entire loaf of crusty bread if you’re not paying attention. I sometimes will add goat cheese to the center of a plate and put the herb blend on and around it and then add my warm oil and if I’m feeling super “fancy” I’ll add a bit of good aged balsamic vinegar to the top of the goat cheese. It adds depth and tang to something that is already near perfection. My husband and I will eat that instead of a meal … I hope everyone who watches your video gives this recipe a try because it truly is the best recipe aside from going to Carrabba’s and having it with their “Chicken Bryan” <—— 🤤🤩 sooo good !

  4. I like that you cook the garlic first. It sure makes it more palatable and not so sharp and severe. Thank you.

  5. Next time you make a fat sandwich drizzle some of this on it while building it.
