  1. As you said, the roll is the most important part. Not soft and bready like a hotdog bun, but crunchy on the outside and chewy inside. You need to pluck out some of the bread in order to make a hollow or pocket lengthwise so the filling will fit better. Add some dill pickle slices. No sub is complete without some Hot Pepper Hoagie Spread from a brand like Cento. Also pour your oil/vinegar mix onto the roll and saturate it so it drips out when you eat it. Everything else looks OK.

  2. I even eat them in the winter with a big bowl of my homemade soup. Thanks for the oregano tip because I never saw Grandmas secret ingredient!

  3. A hoagie is cut down the middle a sub the roll is cut all the way through a grinder is cut down the middle and heated

  4. Thank you, a beautiful sandwich! I've been on a sub sandwich craving kick for awhile now. I would have added mayo and mustard as well. Great job. 0f course it's 2:00 am and I'm starving!

  5. Try a nice crusty ciabatta bread with that . Game changer !!! Leave that American mush for the ducks . Otherwise looks great

  6. OMG! I just made this for my daughter and I!!! It is absolutely better than Subway!!!! No more subway for my family! Homemade from now on!! Thank you!!!!!
