  1. I am watching this video in 2021, during lockdown. I recently discovered that there was an Italian inspired dish called Arancini that was famous in my hometown Tripoli Libya but it no longer exist. So here I am learning how it's done the proper way! Much love Laura!

  7. I need to start making these again! When I worked at NAS Sigonella and lived near Catania, Sicily for 16 years these were always my favorite snack. Sicilians would make these arancini's using this same recipe, "alla ragu", as they called it. They also made the filling with crushed pistachio nut sauce, melanzane (diced eggplant with tomato sauce), diced chicken with cream sauce, funghi porcini sauce and finally with plain butter and mozzarella filling. Each version had the mozzarella within. So delicious! All the bars and most eateries in every town and city in Sicily had arancini's prepared to eat fresh daily, usually as a morning breakfast snack. One day, I will go back there for sure. What a lovely and unforgettable experience. ❤👍🙂
