Pastrami egg and cheese is usually the go to here but had to switch it up to not feel like a Gordito

You’re not far from the source of the lox at that point. Acme’s factory is in Greenpoint. You can buy directly from the factory on Friday mornings.

bagels r so hit or miss in nyc. its only good if u get it fresh imo. if its been sitting longer than 30 min ill ask for a toast. ideally its fresh made for u.
i much prefer the taste of fluffy bagel out the oven instead of one sitting around but sometimes i’ll ask n they’ll be like ya its kinda fresh but then i bite and its hard as a rock.
idk where ur based but u should give baz bagel on grand a try. sometimes they will make it fresh. ive been there like 4 times recently n ive had a freshie like half the time. but the freshie is amazing though.
i know i sound like a spoiled piglet but whatevs oink oink
edit: idk whats up w the downvotes but yall r missing out if u just only eat stale bagels

Bagels here can be sus. But I had this exact thing the other day with a decent bagel and it was wonderful.

Frankel’s is up it’s own ass.
Go to the website and the first menu option is “SHOP MERCH”, followed by the hours and -finally- a menu. If the place was truly legit they’d bank on their food and not their name.
Overpriced, over-hyped and underwhelming.
Walk just one block north to Bagel Point and get double the sandwich for less money (and a better bagel tbh).
