I like Trevor James (The Food Ranger) & Sonny Sides (Best Ever Food Review Show) but not Mark Wiens. I mean does thus guy only have one reaction? Literally just this one??

It’s like if Owen Wilson got a tan and started food vlogging. “Wow”
dancehallseagal
Every time I see this guy I think about how I miss Anthony Bourdain
No_Reputation386
He always likes the food, that’s the main problem with him, everything is great its never bang average or bad. I don’t think he gives honest reviews at all
eolemuk
His reactions are fake.watch his thailand ep together with local thai food vlogger.fast forward to the end of the vid.
whitesonar
another streetfood bloggeer to check out is “Hungry and Abroad”, an Italian dude who’s really entheusiastic, has loads of content
gotmilq
I used to follow him for the food content and quickly realized he was annoying and formulaic as hell. I like the bandana guy! Is that Sonny? He seems down to earth
MilkManMikey
I’ve blocked this guy on every SM platform. I literally cannot fucking stand him.
mfizzled
Does anyone know any street food guys that are none of the 3 mentioned, because they’re all over the top dramatic and just not for me.
Karooba274
I’ve seen him not like food before, he just nods no smile no eye closing reactions he just moves on to the next dish. I don’t mind him.
IrvWeinstein
That guy and the “let me tell you why” guy are the worst.
Lufttanzer
Doesn’t like Mark due to one reaction..
..Watches Trevor James
It’s both or none, OP
BasedWang
Yeah it’s for that reason that I can’t stand him as well.

The only one that doesn’t annoy me is Luke Martín.
Trevor James talks to the audience like we’re retarded and disabled, Sonny has too much production and trying to practice his comedy act, trying too hard. Mark Wiens is the most annoying of them all, his laugh, his reactions, pretty much everything.
Arya_kidding_me
There is something very creepy about Mark, and I feel bad thinking that because he seems very nice. But his niceness also feels very fake and overly positive. He gives me the ick.
Caswell19
Trevor James also only has one reaction
mightnothavehands
He seems like he has no culinary knowledge, just likes eating spicy foods. Remember him trying to cook something on a grill once(forget where) and it was like watching a toddler try to walk. Seems nice though
MisanthropeInLove
My girlfriend finds him annoying and boring as fuck.
Natenat04
Oh man, oh wow..
azteca619
I love Mark Weins. To be fair, I have been to several of the places he has showcased in his videos and they have all been phenomenal. I don’t recall Bourdaine ever trashing a spot either.
atomlowe
I also like Mike Chen
rursable
This. This might be my personal ick towards Mark but I think he focused way too much on his face and not so much on the food. His eyes got wide and I’m annoyed instantly.
DancingOnACounter
Friends and I always make fun of his O-face. He has not changed it in over 5 years! I cant watch him… his eyes are a bit much…
calipygean
I find Trevor to be far worse than Mark with that corny wow, although watching him get side eye as he stumbles through the three awkward phrases he knows while giving the thumbs up is an actual meme of white tourism.
DEADfishbot
Can’t stand mark wiens. Shit eating grin.
fqh
Those who are fan would just accept him the way he is. Ive been a sub since his early days of <1000 subs, thats probably 13 years ago. That reaction gets old fast, but I just enjoy knowing new food places and appreciate him sharing the experience.
mykilososa
Same stupid face every stupid time. Zero ability to give cuisine a narrative. Mark wiens is the worst food critic of all time.
fendermallot
I prefer Mike Chen…
SnooLemons3728
Mike Chen and Sonny are the goats
spookysquidd
I like Mark, seems like a genuinely nice guy, maybe too nice as I don’t think he would say anyone’s food is bad even if it was literally a turd on some lettuce
TheWorsener
I find Mark Wiens appreciative and respectful and find that Sonny Sides treats the subject of his videos like some kind of carnival event to be exploited. Sure, Mark isn’t in depth, hard hitting food journalism. But some people like to see an open mind be touched by the food that inspires the daily lives of a culture. That’s what Mark does.
