This week, we’re featuring **Midwood**

We’re going by this unofficial [Google Map overlay](https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1VYN-6Vkk01byUCF7P13rT6ORT5g) as a GENERAL outline as to what the neighborhoods are. It’s not a strict requirement but try not to go too far outside of the boundaries.

Some optional prompts:

* What are some of your favorite food spots or “hidden gems”?
* Any “must have” or go to dishes from those particular spots?
* Are there any points of interest or events that is worth going out of the way to visit?

Midwood isn’t exactly popping with the greatest food in the neighborhood. With that said, Memo Shish Kebab on Kings Highway is a great cheap eat. (It’s a great eat in general, but the prices are reasonable)

Di Fara pizza definitely the best known place in this area.

Moldova is, well, Moldovan. Even in a city full of the cuisine of the former Soviet Union Moldovan food is hard to come by. Not going to change your life but still interesting to try.

Village Cafe and Falafel Tanami were on Pete Wells’ top 100 NYC restaurants list but I haven’t personally tried either.

I’m not too far from Midwood, hoping for some more recs even just for decent neighborhood joints. Anyone?
