Simple and scrumptious, Greek Fries is one of the best Mediterranean side dishes to make for the sheer love of Greek food. Unlike the regular french fries, these loaded greek style French fries have a refined taste of olive oil, feta cheese, and herbs. Here is how to make it.

Greek Fries are a delicious twist to your regular fries, where flavored fries are topped with heaps of dairy fresh feta cheese, onions, tomatoes, and fresh coriander leaves.

Authentic Greek restaurants serve these Patates Tiganites or Greek-French fries as a side with salad or main course.

These Fries are not smothered with just salt and pepper. To give a nice tangy taste, red wine vinegar or lemon juice is added to them.

I have baked the fries here, to avoid the deep-fried ones, but you can go ahead and make it the traditional way.

Now, traditionally, these Fries are made by frying them in olive oil but even vegetable oil works just fine – saying by experience.

Overall, this one is a fairly easy recipe. Simply make sure to deep fry the potato chunks well. After all, it essentially makes the fries crisp and well cooked. Later, throw all the seasonings on them, and you are done.

If you like baked fries, you revise a little bit and make Baked Greek Fries using a baking sheet in the preheated oven.

Lastly, though these fries taste too good as it is, I still say that serve them with Tzatziki Sauce and that combo would literally perk up your taste buds.

These Greek Fries are,

Easy to make
Full of flavor
Addictive
Perfect for party appetizers

Ingredients

Fries – You can either make them from scratch at home or use the store-bought frozen ones which can be baked or deep-fried. To make things easy and quick, I mostly go with store-bought fries.

Flavors – These French Fries are mixed with a set of ingredients to flavor it up. To flavor these fries, you will need extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, oregano, and salt.

Make sure to use a good quality extra virgin olive oil and red wine vinegar for the best and authentic taste.

Toppings – Once the potato fries are mixed with other ingredients, it is topped with feta cheese, onions, tomatoes, olives, and parsley.

Feta Cheese adds a tangy and salty taste to the fries, whereas tomatoes and onions add a nice crunch along with a bite.
