1st time pressure canning and canning anything in general. I noticed it lost about an inch headspace in the canner. Is this still safe?

I recall my first attempt with the Presto. It was turkey stock. I kept hovering over the pot, fiddling with the heat in a vain attempt to get it “just right.” The dial on the gauge swung a bit too high so I cut heat by several notches, which quickly dropped pressure. That act siphoned out an inch of stock from each jar.
After it all cooled, the resulting jars were messy with turkey fat and stock residue, but the lids were tightly secured. I cleaned them up with soap and water and put them away for later use.
They looked a lot like your jars. If the lids are tight after the full process, you are fine.
