  1. Hi Tammy, just wanted to let you know I ordered the 2 pack blending fork. Do you like Dorlle or SOG knife sharpener the best. Thanks, Joyce

  2. I make creamed corn. I cook it, let it cool and freeze about 4 servings per container so I can just take it out of the freezer and thaw and warm it up and YUMMO!!!! Quick and GOOD.

  3. I like my creamed corn super sweet. We always used field corn, but sweetened it. Now, I buy sweet corn and still sweeten it. Love your recipes!

  4. Cvc; will you show us how to

  5. I was raised on Whitefield corn myself we my mother and daddy always bought a white pill corn but you had to get it early. and we call it stewed corn. grown up and Macon Georgia. but we always fry some stricklean or fatback before we put a corn in the frying pan. and you got to milk that corn and get all the cream the milk out of it that's what makes it so creamy.

  6. I'm fairly new to your channel and I absolutely LOVE watching you cook Tammy. I have learned so much from you. I enjoy watching the easygoing camraderie between you and Chris. He's such a charming man and loves your cooking. I found you first watching your fried apple pie video. I was home recovering from my Hysterectomy (I got diagnosed with Cancer 5/29/21, surgery 9/21/21) and one node escaped so I'm going through an immuntotherapy study for 2 more years. I didn't have a lot of energy to do anything anymore so I went back to one of my favorite things to do and that's to cook. To me it doesn't matter if you do a quality stand alone video or go live, I enjoy watching and learning just the same. I hope you won't feel pressured to have to do live. I know those take a lot of work. Just know that I appreciate you either way. A lot of times I don't make the live shows and watch it afterwards anyways. – Melynda from Minnesota

  7. I'm not criticizing you because your way is what you learned the way my grandma and aunt made cream corn was they had a tool called a corn creamer and they used it took the corn of the cob and put some butter in it and then canned it , then when they got ready to warm it they poured it in a pan warmed with a little more butter and salt and pepper

  8. Thank you for this recipe but I’m going to make this but at the end going to sweeten it up with some sugar….. my mother always made it sweet.

  9. Wow I'm so happy that I googled this recipe and I love old fashioned cooking so thank you so much so glad that I stumbled across you

  10. You are so right about the field corn Tammy. I grew up eating field corn that my daddy grew. We absolutely loved it.

  11. I made this for Labor Day. I’m freezing corn to surprise my family with creamed sweet corn at thanksgiving and Christmas!

  12. I grew up on a farm in pa. I always liked field corn and my dad said he would disown me because no farmers daughter would eat field corn.we grew sweet corn to eat. I still ate field cornand dad still loved me.

  13. My mother was famous for her creamed corn. I would have to say that was a good bit too much butter (yech, margarine) and if you use half and half instead of milk, you don't have to use the corn starch. We always add just a small bit (half a teaspoon, maybe) of bacon grease, too. 🙂

  14. Love this. Also, I totally agree with you on field corn. My grandfather grew both field and sweet corn. And his and my favorite was the girls corn. My husband and son refuse to even try field corn. Thank you for your show. I enjoy seeing you cook like my mom and grandmothers did.

  15. My mom and granny would thicken theirs with a slurry of flour and water. Then poured it through a strainer.
