  1. Thank you! I´ll be careful next time with the temperature of the pan (I think it was on medium). The butter separated, as soon as the sugar melted. My first thought was – too much butter?! But it was the amount, that Laura said. I was stirring all the time, yes. I don´t know what was wrong? 🙁

  2. Anyone can answer, please. If the alcohol burns off, what is the purpose of adding it? Just curious. Does it impart flavor? if yes, does it still taste like rum?

  3. It adds more flavor. Yes it has a rum-my after taste, but it doesn't sting like it would if it was full alcohols. Its purpose is like adding cinnamon, or salt– just a taste thing.

  4. This is possibly the only episode of Laura in the Kitchen where she doesn't say it is simple or easy.

  5. Hi may I know, cinnamon as in the spice you use to cook or cinnamon as in cinnamon sugar?

  11. These are sooooooooooo good! I loved it so much, I loved the combination of cold with warm and it was sweet and delicious! Also I did it without rum and turned out great

  13. I've been watching her videos for years, one of my all time favorites. Even though done of her recipes differ slightly from mine, I think she's amazing. But on rare occasion, I disagree. This is one of those times. The rum is not optional. If you can't use the rum, choose another dessert.
