Margherita pasta | Creamy tomato cheese pasta | Easy Pasta recipe

Margherita is classic pizza type made with cheese,tomato and basil. Here I have all the flavors of margherita pizza made into an irresistible pasta dish.

Ingredients:

2 cups pasta
1 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
1 1/2 cup milk

5-6 garlic cloves(chopped)
7-8 fresh basil leaves
2 tbsp butter
1/4 cup grated cheese
1 1/2 tbsp maida(All purpose flour)
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp chili flakes
1 tbsp dried oregano
salt to taste

First thing to cook the pasta. in a pot boil 5-6 cups of water when it comes to a boil add pasta with some salt and cook for 15-20 minutes or al dente.

Strain off the pasta and set aside.

In a pan heat some butter add chopped garlic and cook for 2 mins then add all purpose flour and cook for another 2 mins. then add chili flakes and oregano and cook for a min.(low-medium heat)

Then gradually add milk and mix well cook for 3-5 minutes on low-medium heat. Then add chopped basil (dried basil) and chopped tomatoes with salt and pepper. I used cherry tomatoes you can regular tomatoes chop them in bite sized pieces. cook for a min.

Add cheese of your choice I added Parmesan and mozzarella because parmesan gives nice salty taste and mozzarella gives perfect texture to it. You can add more cheese if you want i added 1/4 cup. Melt the cheese and add cooked pasta.

mix everything well and let it simmer for 5 minutes on low-medium heat. Enjoy…
