3 tbsp butter
2-3 cloves of garlic
fresh rosemary and thyme
salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder

Doneness Guide:
Rare – 125 degrees
Medium rare – 135
Medium – 145
Medium-well – 150
Well Done – DON’T DO IT lol

Directions:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Allow your steak to come up to room temperature. Place the steak on a plate and season thoroughly while it comes up to room temp. Heat skillet on high heat and add avocado or vegetable oil to the skillet to coat. Place steak into skillet, laying away from you and pressing down for surface area contact and allow the meat to sear for about 90 seconds. Wait until a nice crust develops and then flip the steak. Sear the fat cap/edges and turn heat to medium low. Add butter, herbs and garlic and baste. Place in 400 degree oven for 8-10 mins or until it reaches your desired internal temperature. Allow steak to rest for 8-10 minutes before slicing. (Pull your steak off the heat to rest 5-10 degrees BELOW desired temp.. it will continue to rise a bit as it rests)

  1. Thanks for keeping it simple and doable. I just purchased online a couple steaks from Peter Luger Steak House and I didn't want to ruin them !!!
    Again, thank you !

  2. I’ve been doing it just like this since the first time I’ve seen this… except on the grill.. man oh man. Great stuff!

  3. Must all stick together and gas up the trend "Happy Spouse, Happy House."
It's important that men and women especially women be made to realize It's not their happiness that's more important l, it's both your happiness. For too long men have been programed to believe it's our job and duty and life responsibility to make the wife happy. NO! it's both your responsibility to do everything possible to make both your lives happy. Women have become entitled and expect things from men without giving anything or very little in return simply because they are women. Ask yourself, if your wife is happy, and you are unhappy because she doesn't work just as hard to make you happy, are you going to be okay with that and still run around saying "happy wife Happy life?" No! And actually that's really a derogatory thing to say more so than positive because they really don't know where that came from or what it really mean when men say it. Basically it means as long as I keep her happy and give into her, I won't have to be nagged and bothered and she'll just leave me the hell alone and I will have piece. Men just say it as a nice things for them to hear and maybe when they say it they actually mean just that and not derogatory. I'm guilty of that, but it really did come from wanting them to just stfu! I've been an amazing husband to my wife for 30 years… everything a women could want, and my wife has done very little to come even close to what I have. Just realizing it more now after 30 years. And it's not just me. Thousands of men across the country feel the same.

STEAK LOOKS GREAT! Going to do some this weekend

  4. I did it and it was delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never make a good steak and I can cook. I did it today!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Tonight is the nite. I made this wonderful recipe, and I forgotten to buy the Rosemary. It came out perfect, and my husband was excited to try it, and he loved it.

  6. Legit just ordered me up some ribeye, bout to test your video out. I love a good ribeye, and man you got me over here starving watching this.

  7. 30 min is not enough for the steak to come to "room temp"
the crust is too light, the end result the steak looked grey

  8. I love cooking with your recipe. Been using it for quite a long time now. It's is so good! Thank you so much for sharing!

  9. The doneness of my steak depends on how much intramuscular fat it has. Give me my lean filets mignon rare, my strip steak medium rare, and my rib eye bordering on medium.

  10. That’s a million-dollar-money-shot, chef. 🔥❤️‍🔥👊🏾💪🏾💯

I love my steak a perfect medium. 😊🤤😁
