Pizza tasted good but was very doughy which really isn’t my thing 9/10 still though. Pretty expensive too but what isn’t these days??

big fan of matty and had this when i was in toronto last.
the pizza was pretty damn good imo, definitely some of the best delivery pizza you can find. its absolutely loaded with cheese/sauce/seasonings true to matty’s style. you feel fine with half the slices you’d normally eat, it’s a lot.

I used to love maker but idk anymore

Trash over priced over rated pizza. I’m sorry to all the hipsters that think this is good pizza. Badiali and one night only kick the shit out of maker

Big fan of Maker. Everything is overpriced but the “Frank’s Best” pizza is one of my favourites and their Bodega sandwich is also great.

Maker was always overpriced for what it is. As is Matty Matheson.

Their ‘skinny’ pepperoni is awesome.

I love how polarizing Maker Pizza is in Toronto’s food community.
I fall more on the “overpriced and overrated, but not bad either” camp. If it was 10 dollars cheaper my opinion would be a bit warmer, but as it stands I’d prefer North of Brooklyn, which feels like the same style of pizza.

Overpriced, mediocre

Frank’s Best slaps but Maker hasn’t been great since they expanded past the original store tbh

Maker has been my go to whenever I’m nearby. I love the pepperoni they use.

This place jumped the shark a few years ago.

One of my top 5 favs in the city.

Not my style of pizza, but it was good when the office bought them for lunch. Wouldn’t pay for it myself.
WAHNFRIEDEN
Never liked their crust.

I found maker salty as fuck
Canuckamuck
Anyone else find it salty as all fuck? I don’t hate it every once in a while but I have to make sure to have a cold something right beside so I don’t turn into the mummy

North of Brooklyn is better but it’s not bad

My parents tried it recently and were not impressed. I got sushi from my favourite neighbourhood Japanese restaurant. It was awesome.

Maker is weird in that their pizza by the slice is really great; thin and crispy. And then their whole pizzas are soupy and thick and wack.

I don’t mind Maker. It’s a bit overpriced and I wouldn’t put it S-tier but more mid-to-low A-tier. I need to re-evaluate my pizza rankings as tough economic times = less doing what I love, eating pizza, but wouldn’t have Maker in my top 3. Agree with you that the pizzas there are doughy and sometimes they go overboard with the honey.
I don’t know too much about Matty Matheson to have an opinion either way on the guy and don’t actively seek out his restaurants.

Maker’s was the first place I ever had sesame seeds on the crust and I loved it! I think they charge extra for it not though so haven’t gotten Makers/sesame seed crust in a while.

Mac’s Pizza is a million times better than
piratesson
I know it’s controversial, but this is one of my favourite Toronto pies, so salty, but so good
