re: mississippi-style pot roast (ghetto edition) It turned out great! The pickle juice served to tenderize the roast but extended cook time reduced the dill flavor to a nuance. The onions are jammy, the gravy perfect, and the roast melts in your mouth!
I made bread and piled it with roast and gravy over aged cheddar. The original ingredients were a 4lb roast, pickle juice, sliced onions, onion soup mix, spicy ranch seasoning packet, gravy packet, and a stick of butter 🙂
