How did you use the immersion blender in an enameled pan? Last time I made tomato soup in a coated pan, my immersion blender scratched up the bottom of my pan, and was difficult to control it from hitting the bottom.

I left the skins on the tomatoes and they were stringy even after I used the immersion blender.
