What I’m eating?

last week I prepared a quick and easy chicken and #ricerecipe. This week I decided to make a one pot seafood version using shrimp and imitation crab meat.
We’re still #quarantinecooking here.
It’s a quick and easy #seafoodrice recipe that will blow you away in under 30 minutes.
Come on into my kitchen, pull up a chair and #cookwithme

Ingredients:
1 lb shrimp – cleaned/ deveined – Shell On ( I said “peel on” in the video 🙂
Crab Meat – Imitation was used from a sushi recipe but lump Crab is fine if you bourgeois 🙂
2 cups rice
1 /2 onion
3 cloves garlic
1/2 bell pepper (I used yellow and orange, that’s what I had on hand)

Seasoning (Approximately 1 Tbsp. of each)
Garlic powder
Old bay
Cajun seasoning
2-3 Goya sazon packets
Chicken bouillon
parsley or cilantro
sofrito (scratch made is always better, BUT the jar stuff is what I had.)

*Note- I leave the shells on my shrimp to add more flavor to the broth. I also like to eat with my hands so it doesn’t bother me to pick them out and peel them. Feel free to deshell or “peel” yours. 🙂

  1. Looks good. A lot of salt filled additives. So you cooked the shrimp for 20-25min..?? Did it get rubbery?

  2. I just started watching this about an hour ago and already have started making it. I had shrimp and crabmeat on hand. I also am a new subscriber.
