I love Don Angie – you have to be in the mood for a heavier meal – and recently tried Bad Roman( felt very commercial) so I wanted to share. At Bad Roman I felt the pasta was meh but the tuna tartare and salad were amazing. At DA I always get the salad no matter what and this time we had the steak and season gnocchi. Also pictured is Fridays lunch at Via Carota- the tagliatelle dish
(1- DA chrysanthemum salad, 2- DA house salami & cheese, 3- shell steak al limon, 4- stracchino gnocchi, 5- BR whipped ricotta & honey, 5- BR filet mignon meatballs, 6- BR Caesar with chicken, 7- BR tuna tartare, 8- VC arancini, 9- VV tagliatelle
If I had to pick 1 I would say VC because I enjoy the bar scene even when solo and the menu has many “lighter” options.

I couldn’t tell if that was a plate covered in mold or some dank bud in the first pic.

oh man the chrysanthemum salad is bonkers good – recognized it straight away and i’m no good at recognizing things. don angie blew me away and i’m not usually one to love pasta heavy meals
I was pretty unimpressed with Bas Roman as well, but I loved the tuna tartare
Something tells me that it was way overpriced, but then again it is NYC.
