Preheat oven to 325 F. Mix raw ground beef, cooked rice, 1/2 can of tomato soup, salt, pepper, dash of hot sauce (any other spices you like). Place peppers upright in a roasting pan. Fill peppers with beef mixture. Fill pan with 1/2 cup of water. Place covered in oven for 40 minutes.
Mix tomato sauce with the remaining 1.5 cans of soup, salt, pepper and hot sauce. After peppers have cooked for 40 minutes, pour tomato sauce mixture over peppers. Recover and cook for 40 minutes more at 325 F.

My grandmother made this at least a couple of times a month. I really wish bell peppers didn’t give me heartburn.
