Because Cheonggukjang is a type of instant soybean paste, but it has a unique smell like strong cheese, so people like it or dislike it.
I couldn’t eat it when I was young, but I like it now.😋
I use 1 years old kimchi for today’s chunggukjang.

I love cheonggukjang! I think it may be too strong for some people, but it’s one of my favorite things to eat in a stew.
Raised on 청국장. I could eat it for days.
Yes, yes
So there are two ways to make it, one being the “standard” way with pork, aged kimchi and all the good stuff & the other way being a milder version flavored with just tofu, zucchini, and saeujeot (it’s apparently how they’re served in certain restaurants). I only enjoy the former.
I have never taste it before
Omg I love this shit so much. I used to ask the emo who worked at the restaurant to make it “smell extra strong, like feet”. 😭😂. I had some white friends who did not like the smell of it at first, but then fell in love with it’s pungent aroma and flavor.
