This easy, homemade tahini recipe is super creamy and can be used in so many different recipes – including my 3-Minute Hummus! 1. Hi guys! You've been requesting this tahini recipe for a while – so I'm happy to oblige. Especially when there are chocolate chip tahini cookies in the pipeline. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Enjoy! xo – Lisa

  2. Can u use husk sesame seeds i can only get husked.

If i can only get husked how do i prepare it.

  3. Tried making this 2x now and only got it to work by doubling the oil & adding over 2 cups of water to the vitamix.

Trying to use up the pretoasted sesame from the Asian grocery but thatโ€™s probably what was screwing up the recipe.

  4. What hot plate is that? Iโ€™m in need of one but need recommendations for a quality one. Thank you in advance for any help!

  5. Lisa you need to donate that blender now, you've been using it for years. I need it thanks ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  6. Used my new Vitamix for the first time but… Followed your directions to the letter. It was so thick with 3 TBL EVOO that I wound up adding another 2-1/2 TBL EVOO. Even then it was much thicker than yours! I sourced my sesame seeds from your link too. Why did mine need so much more oil than yours and still not be as creamy? It turned out to be very messy endeavor.

  7. This may be odd question. . . I lost sense of smell from Covid. Is there another way of knowing I cooked seeds long enough?

  9. Hi , I wanted to try this tahini recipe but can you tell for how long does it stay good in the fridge ?

  10. I just used my Vitamix A3500 and the paste never turned creamy despite adding additional EVOO. The blender cup got so hot it turned the paste dark brown so I had to toss it out. Advise please.

  11. How long does this last? I know that citric acid or salt or other preservatives are added in the Markey tahini products to make them last longer. Curious to know how long does this last in fridge. LOVED it by the way!!

  12. I've made tahini various times and i can categorically say there is NO WAY you can add such a small amount of oil to so much sesame seed paste and have it so liquid as it is at the end of the video. It's just not possible.

And by the way unless you've got a very light mild olive oil it's best to use some other vegetable oil. Olive oil can have a rather strong flavour for tahini
