Gerald Sombright, Chef de Cuisine at Knife and Spoon at the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes, makes corned beef hash with creamy scrambled eggs. He upgrades his grandmother’s recipe by using fresh deli-sliced corned beef, roasted potatoes, and Worcestershire sauce. He also adds in creamy Boursin cheese to achieve the fluffiest scrambled eggs you’ve ever had placed on a bed of crispy, savory corned beef hash. 1. Chef de cuisine… I'm terrified with the board moving + his knife skills. My man, secure that board!

  2. Me: opens can of cornbeef and mixes with a lil bit of onion and lots of potatos.

    Can I be on vice??

  3. Stop staring akwardly in the wrong camera homie, just cook. I never seen some one stare in the camera so much.

  4. I hate soft scrambled eggs. Why do all these chefs like raw egg yolk and bloody pink meat. My Grandfather was Black, everything got cooked WELL DONE.

  5. My man finnesed Vice into thinking he's a chef de cuisine. That cutting board, knife, lighting, and story-telling is just something else haha

  6. the fact he using just a metal spoon and the sounds reminds me of me going to my nans and her always just saying are you hungry, me saying yes 30 mins later eating some of the best tasting food i've ever had even to this day. That generation can make a meal out of anything and you best know you will want to eat and fall a sleep after lol

  7. Maaaan half the words out of his mouth are absolute bullshit or him just guessing things lol, the standard of work at VICE these days…

  8. I'm definitely going to make the soft scrambled eggs with boursin cheese. It looks delicious! (And I agree about flat top electric stoves. So hard to cook with!)

  9. That looks absolutely delicious. Thanks for pimping up corn beef hash so beautifully.

I'm going to make this though I fancy adding a wee bit of blue cheese, Stilton or Gorgonzola to the scrambled eggs.

  10. Deli bought corned beef. Hell no sir. Smoke one n a Dutch. Let it cool. Cut it. And build the hash.

  11. People hating bc he doesn't look a pro, he's at his house making hash, go watch some French chef tell you exactly how to do everything losers, this looks like flama I didnt know about the Tabasco and Worcester or how to get that crust thanks for the tips

  12. Why does he constantly inform me that he’s a “chef” the rocking cutting board, sloppy mise en place & double talking make him sound insecure

  13. Who are these jokers questioning whether this guy is a chef or not? Let me google this for you: https://www.orlandoweekly.com/Blogs/archives/2020/01/09/john-tesar-taps-fellow-top-chef-alum-gerald-sombright-as-chef-de-cuisine-for-knife-and-spoon-at-the-ritz-carlton-grande-lakes Yes, he's a real chef. So what if his cutting board is warped? You think real world chefs are made of money? News flash: they don't get paid all that much. When he said that not enough home cooks taste their food as they cook, I knew he at least had professional experience. The production quality of this video is not great, but Chef Sombright clearly knows what he's doing.

  14. Canned corn beef, frozen hash browns, diced onions — my dad's campfire corned beef hash. I still love it and always have all the ingredients. 😉 But after we've had a corned beef dinner, we'll be giving you more elegant version a try. Thanks!

  15. Great recipe, looks amazing!! I definitely taste my food while I cook…that’s probably why I’m never hungry after I cook a meal 😂 Thanks again for sharing 💕

  16. I played a joke on this friend of mine and put a whole pan of corn beef hash down my pants. I was lmfa0 cuz she was NOT expecting that. This recipe looks like it'd go down my pants something real nice!!!😅

  17. So outside of him saying it is really good. Who else says the same? I watched a dude whip some food up, tasting it and telling me it is really good. Don't mean it's good lol…

  18. Your grandma is smart cause every time someone in the family will make something so delicious and then we make it again the next day and it tastes Blah. Not as good as the first time. Itd be better to wait the next week to eat again.
