My dad used to bring back this chickpea candy from his business trips. He always called them “leblebi” but I think that’s a generic term for all sorts of chickpea snacks. These are sugar coated. Here’s what I’m talking about:
Chickpeas, Colored, Sugar Coated
I could only find them (via Google) at one store in NYC, Kalustyan’s on Lexington Ave between 28th/29th st. But, per that link, they’re sold out. I’d love to buy these somewhere when I’m there next week. Let me know if you know where to find them!

Tashkent supermarket in Brooklyn lol
My family is from Russia. my gma always bring them from her country but my mom takes me to Tashkent supermarket to get a lot of goodies
I think if you go to Kalustyans, and they don’t have it, there are surrounding markets that will.
Online is one thing. In-store is another. Call up Kalustyans and ask for Donna, M-Friday. She’ll let you know what’s up and where you can get them if they don’t have it in the store. Kalustyans is amazing
