Love how he treats me like im a student or an aspiring chef, hate the tv shows where the whole draw is that youre retarded and you need the savior (the shows host)
This is great home cooking video especially what he says at the end. Do with what you have, you don't have time to make mushroom stock or spend a fortune on special ingredients
He's sold to knorr, that's a fact. But you can't deny that he did a hell of a good job with those recipes. They fit perfectly to the audience and I really believe they must taste delicious.
Great advice. Through experiment i made my own version of risotto which i love. Home cooking for me has to be efficient and inexpensive with focus on results. There's a number of seemingly complicated meals i can prepare with this approach. My challenge is to further streamline the process every time.
You can have the time to make mushroom stock at home. Simply use dried porchini. For best results wash and let soak overnight, for good results quick pour over hot water and use basically instantly. Even if washed well there might be silt at the bottom so make sure to not use the bit at the bottom. It tastes great.
He's super chilled, will give this one a shot, interesting to see him adding the stock from a packet, i thought you had to keep your stock on the simmer
I’ve done this recipe 15 times now. I have it memorized by heart. But I still put this video on because I enjoy his voice and I feel like I’m cooking with him. But again,

I learnt more in that than another hundred risotto videos. Going out to get rice and mushrooms this week now. He is the king
Marco is way to real for TV. He is who he is i love him for it!
Love him!
3:11 I used basil because there was no real recipe… And it was absolutely horrendous
I've watched this vid a couple times over the years but I just now noticed there's music in the background
"When I used to cook." he says!

One of the most grounded gentleman I have ever had the pleasure of a fleeting meet . Class act
Marco reminds me of the Pro Abortionists: “it’s your choice”

That’s an awful lot of mushrooms. What’s that? They’ll lose their water?
He will kick your ass!
Marco Escoffier and Larousse …..! 2 and 3 ….nothing else …
So you're saying I could use parsley, sage, rosemary and thyyymmmmee?
Marco wouldn’t use Basil with mushrooms because it’s not a natural combination. If you want to use it however, it’s your choice.

Knorr meat stocks have been in his life a long time it seems
It was a wild super-market
6:36 – 6:41 Remember guys, it's what YOU like!
3 Michelin star chef, but uses stock that is cold and not hot from a pot? weird, I thought keeping temp was paramount… I guess it works..hmmmm
2:08 I think that's actually the first time he joked/laughed about something on the Knorr series… Rare gem
He makes it look easy because it is easy.
Get your ingredients together, take a deep breathe, get on with it.
Enjoy.
I would absolutely love to be a CDP under him. I would learn so much
MEHHKKIWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
looks like sick
Fucking hell, you couldn't pay me to eat that

Not a true risotto video, but a an ad video for knorr … how sad … how low has this man fallen..
No Parmesan cheese???
I can watch 100s of such episodes of Rajashri Nandi sir!
No cheese? Please
OK but that amount of truffle oil is offensive in any timeline. But I love MPW so much, legend and icon. But oh man.
Watching this, why do I keep thinking of Chianti?
When he pulled out the truffle oil I was like “Gordon Ramsay would protest!!” But he justified it very well. GOATed
If you listen closely while he talks about his Italian mother, you can hear C'è la luna mezzo mare in the background.
I’ve never seen a sober guy so uncomfortable in his own skin
Stir the mushrooms with a spatula or with chicken stock, its your choice

That’s my choice.
He is special. Very special.
